CCP - Lending Library Checkout
Winter 2019 term approvals for book checkouts will begin on Wednesday, January 2.
You can begin checking out books the 1st day of the term, January 7.
Come directly to our CAP front desk in Bldg. 2, Rm. 230.
Please note CCP students as well as the rest of the student body utilize the Chemeketa Textbook Lending Library. As a CCP student, you avoid the long lines and extra requirements from College Life only if you follow these instructions.
REQUIRED FOR APPROVAL
- Student ID Card – book approvals will not be processed without your student ID card. Please go to the Bookstore if you do not have a student ID. It is a $5 replacement fee if it has been less than two years since you have been issued one. It is free if it has been more than two years since you have been issued one or it is your first one.
- Printout of your winter term class schedule from My Chemeketa – you must be registered for the class you are requesting a book for.
- Complete Textbook Request Form in order of preference with “CL” number – go to http://librarysearch.chemeketa.edu to search the library catalog number (CL) and book availability. Follow instructions on “Using the Primo Library Search” handout. CCP students do not have access to TRIO textbooks.

Step 1 – Bring required items listed above to our CAP front desk in Bldg. 2, Rm. 230 starting Wednesday, January 2 from 8 am to 5 pm. It is very important you let our front desk staff know you are in the CCP program to be able to assist you accordingly.
Step 2 – You can have one approval per day for one class. If you need books for multiple classes, you must come back on different days. I apologize ahead of time, but the student requesting the approval must be present. You may not send someone else on your behalf. This really complicates things for everyone.
Step 3 – The Library staff will email you to your My Chemeketa email as they pull items to notify you if they have the item for you or not. Textbooks are not guaranteed and are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Check your My Chemeketa email!
Step 4 – You can pick up your book(s) beginning the first day of the term, January 7. Do not wait too long to pick them up as they will go back on the shelves. You will need your student ID to check out book(s).
